English UK, which represents over 450 English language providers, invited Nichola Carter to speak on the first day of its AGM held at the Hotel Russell in London.
Speaking to an audience with first hand knowledge of immigration issues, Nichola specifically addressed the sector’s concerns about the restriction on study for general visitors and controversial educational oversight regime.
Nichola advises many of the association’s members in relation to their sponsor licence and other immigration related issues. She previously represented English UK in its highly successful 2010 judicial review in which a High Court judge ordered that a decision taken by the Home Secretary relating to the level of English courses was unlawful.
