ILPA’s inaugural Student Sponsors Conference, a unique event designed for those involved in the sponsorship of international students in the UK, will take place on 27 March 2025.
Renowned education immigration law expert and Senior Partner of Carter Thomas Solicitors, Nichola Carter, created the event alongside experts Tom Brett Young and Anna Blackden.
ILPA Student Sponsors Conference
The full-day conference is being held both in person (in central London), and online, for those who may wish to join from further afield.
The conference will provide an in-depth exploration of the Immigration Rules and Home Office policy guidance relating to the sponsorship of international students, with a particular focus on independent schools, colleges, and pathway providers. If you work with or advise higher education providers who hold a student sponsor licence (and who recruit from pathway providers), this event is also highly relevant to you.
The event will welcome Jacqueline Amos, Head of Study Services for UKVI, as a keynote speaker. A number of engaging sessions covering topics such as applying for and maintaining a student sponsor licence, Child Student and Student visa applications, sponsoring under 18s and safeguarding will be covered on the day.
Our very own Nichola Carter will be hosting a session on Home Office compliance visits and student sponsor duties.
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from leading immigration practitioners, gain valuable insights, and ensure that your student sponsorship processes align with the latest updates.
