The Prime Minister has confirmed that the EU Settlement Scheme fee is to be abolished.
Speaking in the House of Commons on 21 January 2019, the Prime Minister confirmed that the fee will not form part of the application process from 30 March 2019, once the trial phase ends and the process opens to all EU citizens and eligible family members. A wider trial open to eligible members of the public has commenced today.
The Prime Minister also confirmed that refunds will be made to anyone who has paid the fee and that further information will be available in due course.
We will update our website as soon as that information is published.
