Earlier this month the Government published a new Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules which we covered here. Many of the changes are due to come into force on 29 March 2019.
One of the less positive changes scheduled to occur on that date is the closure of the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Scheme.
New Innovator and Start-up routes are included in the Statement, in a new Appendix W. These are due to go-live on 29 March 2019.
Endorsement bodies
In order to make an application under each scheme, the applicant must first of all obtain an endorsement letter from an endorsing body.
However, to date, no endorsement bodies for either scheme have been announced.
Clarity neded
We are seeking clarity from the Home Office as to exactly when endorsement bodies will be ready to receive applications under the Innovator and Start-up routes.
