The Immigration Health Surcharge, paid by the majority of those making applications for permission to enter or stay in the UK, will increase on 27 October 2020.
This follows the publication of The Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2020 (S.I. 2020/1086) on 6 October 2020.
The main fee will increase from £400 per year of leave granted to £624. However, a reduced rate of £470 will apply to students, dependants of students, those under the Youth Mobility Scheme and children under 18.
Those who obtain a Health and Care visa are exempt from paying the surcharge.
